Thoroughly polish essay #5
and publish the polished version on your blog.
* If you haven’t already,
add opening and closing paragraphs
(four sentences in each)
In both, try to catch the reader’s attention,
and make sure the final sentence in the essay
is one of the most interesting sentences
in the entire essay.
*Go over the rubrics again,
making sure you’ve followed
all the guidelines.
Also, go over the original assignment,
and make sure you have included all the requirements.
* Check your classmates’ comments one final time.
Be sure you’ve paid attention
to their helpful advice.
* Make sure the “presentation” is accurate and complete.
*Do you have a “hooking” title
and an informative subtitle?
*Be sure you have added a careful self-assessment
at the bottom of your essay:
1. One writing issue you are continuing to work on
2. One strong point you see in this piece of writing
3. One possible weak point you see
4. The grade you would give yourself
